About the role

An API developer is responsible for integrating backend core systems to connecting front end applications.

What you'll do

• He/she develops scalable, maintainable and secure code to be deployed in an API gateway platform.
• Must also be able to develop microservices for customized API functions such as encryption algorithms and database connectivity.
• Involved in the end to end of a software development life cycle of a project.
• Experience and knowledge with the following platforms and languages:
• ReactJS
• VueJS

What we're looking for

• Must have at least 2 years experience in API development.
• Must have experience using IBM API Connect or any equivalent API gateway platform.
• Has experience on the following programming languages and software tools:
• - API Web Services Development (RESTful and SOAP)
• - Javascript / NodeJS
• - NestJS Framework
• - SQL/NoSQL Database Queries
• - API security implementation (Rate limiting, JWT, Oauth, API Key, etc.)
• - Docker
• - GitLab Repository
• - Postman
• - Linux CLI
• - JIRA
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and containerized workflows.
• Knowledge in Redhat Openshift on AWS and other AWS cloud products is a plus.
• Able to write comprehensive API documentation and conduct technical knowledge transfer to support teams and development peers.
• Has strong debugging skills and can develop unit tests.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to collaborate within a highly functional team.
• Can support production issues.
• Adheres to agile ways of working.

Skills
