Manage day-to-day accounting, reconciliations, statutory compliance, and financial records to ensure accurate and timely reporting for the business.

About the role

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to manage routine accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records. The role will handle bookkeeping, invoicing, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, expense tracking, GST and TDS support, and monthly reporting. You will work closely with internal teams and external consultants to ensure financial transactions are recorded correctly and statutory requirements are completed on time.

What you'll do

  • Maintain accurate books of accounts and record daily financial transactions.
  • Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoices, receipts, and payment entries.
  • Perform bank, vendor, customer, and ledger reconciliations on a regular basis.
  • Prepare and maintain GST, TDS, and other statutory accounting records for timely compliance and filing support.
  • Track business expenses, employee reimbursements, advances, and supporting documents.
  • Assist with monthly closing, trial balance review, and preparation of management reports.
  • Maintain proper documentation for invoices, vouchers, contracts, and financial records.
  • Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, banks, and vendors when required.
  • Monitor outstanding receivables and payable schedules and follow up with relevant stakeholders.
  • Support budgeting, cash-flow tracking, and other finance-related activities as required.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3-6 years of hands-on accounting experience in an Indian business environment.
  • Working knowledge of Tally Prime or similar accounting software and good proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Practical understanding of GST, TDS, invoicing, reconciliations, and basic statutory compliance.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
  • Good numerical, analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple accounting activities and meet monthly and statutory deadlines.
  • Clear communication skills and ability to coordinate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
