Manual Tester Intern

About the role

TechXenos is looking for a detail-oriented Manual Tester intern to join our quality team. You will test web and mobile applications, find bugs before our users do, and learn how real-world software testing works. This hands-on opportunity will help you build your QA career. You will test new features, check that old features still work after changes, and report every issue you find so developers can fix it quickly. You will be part of the team that makes sure our web and mobile applications work correctly before they reach users.

What you'll do

• Understand requirements and test the application against them
• Write and execute test cases and test scenarios
• Identify, record and report bugs with clear steps to reproduce
• Perform functional, regression, smoke and sanity testing
• Retest fixed bugs and verify them
• Work with developers and the team to resolve issues
• Maintain test documentation and testing reports

What we're looking for

• 0-1 year of experience (internships and academic projects count)
• Basic understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC)
• Knowledge of testing types, test case writing and the bug life cycle
• Strong attention to detail and a logical, curious mindset
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Currently pursuing or completed BE/B.Tech/BCA/MCA/B.Sc (IT/CS) or equivalent
